While working on lecture notes, grading quizzes, and avoiding tornadoes, I'm watching election results come in across the country. One of the things that I just Don't Get is how 1,000 people (so far) in Connecticut and 10,000 (so far) in Oklahoma have voted for candidates who have left the race. Sure, Edwards just dropped out a week ago, and the ballots were printed long ago so of course he's still on the ballot. But that just seems like such a Waste. Granted, I voted for someone who has No Chance in this state, but at least I voted for someone still in the race.

My only hope is that November brings better news.

Date: 2008-02-06 11:50 am (UTC)I voted in the morning because I had an evening meeting. Then went to Best Buy to use my $5.00 off coupon to get the new Sheryl Crow CD (Thanks for sending me the link M., I knew it was due out this month just unsure which Tuesday). On the way home I heard about the tornadoes up in Atkins and called S to have him call and check on his dad. Still haven't heard anything.
