sernin8. Chemo Ate My Homework – good (the teachers at St Jude hospital in Memphis, TN)
9. Headwaters – eh (little hippie school in NW Arkansas)
10. Original Intent – good (look at the argument of Justice Scalia and Justice Thomas that the Constitution should be interpreted through writers’ original intent)
11. Beyond Eryuv – good (teenager leaves Hassidic community and lives on his own with help from his grandparents)
12. Twisted – good (film about medical condition: distonia)
13. 10 Questions for Dalai Lama – excellent (guy travels to interview Dalai Lama – I really learned from this one)
14. Barbara Leather – ok (woman hand crafts leather sandals in NY)
15. Tuesday Nighter – good (cyclists in Austin TX have a road race every Tuesday night)
16. Refloating Venice – eh (Venice issinking, flooding happens)
17. If There Were No Lutherans – good (Lutheran minister has funny church signs and Lutheran potlucks include green jello)
18. The Tribe – um, I don’t remember this one
19. Tutu Fairy – odd (woman dresses like a fairy and grants people wishes on the street – sucker punch at the end when they tell you she’s now dead)
20. Beyond the Call – interesting (three men who do their own humanitarian missions around the world)
21. Project B-Boy – good (a look at modern breakdancing)
22. Phoenix Dance – odd (male dancer has one leg due to cancer – sucker punch at the end when they tell you he’s now dead)
23. Was That Switch – terrible (homemade film of Sk8r Boi)
24. Hercules – sad (young Polish boy living with unemployed drunken father, unemployed critical mother)
25. Srebrenica Remains – sad (look at the country trying to heal 10 years after the war – learned a lot)
26. Letters from the Other Side – sad (Mexican fathers and brothers going to the US, leaving behind mothers and sisters to endure poverty)
27. Dona Helena – good (Brazilian guitar player who became well-known in her 60’s, named as one of the best players in the world by Guitar Player magazine – sucker punch at the end when they tell you she’s now dead)
28. TV Junkie – eh (television personality who has videojournal for 30 years, with wife, kids, and serious addiction to crack)
29. American Stag – excellent (history of stag film)
30. Going to School in India – eh (go to school with all the little Indian kids – and six schoolbus loads of local kids)
31. I Named Her Angel – excellent (young Turkish girl learns Sema – the prayerful dance known as Whirling Dervish)
32. When We Were Tigers – eh (little Danish girl running around India with her baby sister)
